Dr. Thorpe is a trusted psychiatrist who identifies and treats patients with various disorders. These include ADHD, depression, psychosis, mood, anxiety, personality, substance abuse and eating disorders. She has in-depth experience in treating adults, adolescents and children in various settings such as outpatient clinics, inpatient psychiatric units, the emergency room, intensive outpatient programs, group homes and partial hospitalization programs. Dr. Thorpe treats patients through several methods including medications, psychotherapy or talk therapy, psychosocial interventions and more as each individual case warrants. If needed she might prescribe antidepressants, antipsychotic medications, mood stabilizers, stimulants, sedatives and hypnotics.
Dr. Thorpe is Medical Director at Summit Oaks Hospital in addition to practicing at Greystone Park Psychiatric Hospital and St. Clares Hospital where she evaluates and treats patients of all ages. Dr. Thorpe also has a private practice in Florham Park, NJ. Dr. Thorpe graduated from Ross University School of Medicine, where she completed her medical degree. She also graduated from Montclair State University, where she completed her Bachelor of Arts degree and Master of Science degree in Clinical Child Psychology. She went on to complete a four-year residency program in psychiatry at Bergen Regional Medical Center in 2012, plus a two-year fellowship program in child and adolescent psychiatry at Bronx Lebanon Hospital. Dr. Thorpe is double Board Certified by the American Board of Psychiatry & Neurology in Adult, Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.

APPOINTMENTS: Office hours are limited to evenings several times a week and slots fill up quickly. Therefore, it is best to schedule your next appointment at the time of your visit. Please arrive at least 5 to 10 minutes before your appointment to take care of payment and any other office business you require.
CANCELLATIONS AND NO-SHOWS: We request that you let us know as soon as possible if you need to reschedule your appointment, We would appreciate the opportunity to offer the time slot to another patient who is waiting for an appointment. Cancellations require at least 24 hours notice, weekends not included. If your appointment is on a Monday, the cancellation must be made by the same hour on the preceding Friday to avoid a cancellation fee. Cancellations that occur with less than 24 hour notice or if you fail to show for an appointment you will be charged a set fee for the session. Please note that these fees are not reimbursed by insurance.
PAYMENTS: Payment is required at the time of each session unless there is an agreed upon other arrangement. Fees can be paid by cash, personal check or Venmo.

Dr. Thorpe does not accept insurance.
Fees are based on services rendered as well as time. All fee are payable at the time of service, unless otherwise previously agreed upon.
